Detailed information on the application procedures is available on the website of the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS). It is advisable to consult this website before applying for your visa, to make sure that you have the most up-to-date information. There is also a list of frequently asked questions about visas.

Visas: A new online visa application facility is being introduced to all Irish embassies and consulates on a phased basis during 2008. From 30 June 2008 if you are living in a supported country where the online facility is available you must apply for a visa online. There is information on how to complete an online application in English as well as in Arabic, Chinese, Russian, French, Turkish and Urdu.
If there is no online visa application facility in your country, you can download a visa application form. Alternatively you can request a form from the Irish embassy or consulate designated for processing visa applications from your country.
You should apply at least 8 weeks before you plan to come to Ireland.
